Enhancing Colors

The Enhancing Colors dialog combines in itself editing of RGB color elements and editing of saturation, lightness, and hue, as well as brightness and contrast. It also lets you perform gamma correction.

There’s also an option to preserve colors, that is, to ensure colors will retain their hue even after strong brightening, so that the image does not become pale, and another option for automatic contrast.

In version 10, the algorithm for calculating a picture's saturation was reworked. The new algorithm offers better-quality and more natural editing of saturation than the classic one did.
