Zoner Photo Studio 7 - Product History

English version:

Zoner Photo Studio 7 - English was released in April 5, 2005.

Three new builds of the English version has been released:

German version:

Zoner Photo Studio 7 — German was released on May 3rd, 2005.

The current build is 10, and this is the first published build, so no patches are currently available.

Build 13 New Features and Bug Fixes:

New Features:

Optimized network communication
Expanded Unicode support on Windows 2000/XP to include Japanese
Now able to display the thumbnails that are stored in AI files saved by Adobe Illustrator 11 and 12 (CS and CS2)

Fixed/improved Features:

Editor - maximum for blurring of selection raised from 250 to 1000
Editor - "Don't show next time" option was broken for the warning when saving
a multi-page picture file into a single-page forma
Editor - under certain circumstances, when the High refresh quality level was set, the Editor's contents were not redrawn in full
Editor - progressive jpegs now remain progressive when saved in the Editor
Editor - problems when selecting a portion of a text using a mouse if the Caslon 540 AT font (and similar fonts) was being used
Browser - error during batch renaming when DBCS characters were being used
Keywords - was not possible to assign a one-letter keyword via drag-and-drop
An error during keyword processing existed that could cause the program to become unstable
An error existed in the reading of audio notes embedded in JPEG files
Added support for opening black-and-white TIFF files with no channel count information
PDF - fixed input of TTC-type CJK characters (MS Mincho, MS Gothic)
CD burning - verification of data size for burning (Error 1770)
CD burning - problem that, caused in some cases, burn error 1861 has been fixed
Display errors when DBCS characters were used in the text-in-image function and during burning
Scanning - an error that occurred when scanning multiple images has been fixed
Batch renaming - was not possible to enter any DB characters that contained a backslash
Batch edits to EXIF texts - loss of keywords occurred when a one-letter keyword was present
Fixed error in decoding of NEF files from D70s cameras; added support for JPEG previews in NEF files
Fixed error in the decoding of YCbCr TIFF files
Registration - Win98 - when numbers were pasted from the clipboard, they were only pasted into the first editing box

New Features:

Support for CR2 RAW files from the Canon 350D camera.

Fixed/improved Features:

Information/Details field - adding a new field like Description, Title, or Author could cause garbage characters to appear.
Print and Export - was not possible to add text to documents created using Print and Export.
CD burning - burning with CD Viewer could cause error 1861.
CD Viewer - the text line containing the image description displayed badly when Large Fonts were active in Windows.
